Outing at Bernabeach Resort Nasugbu Batangas

Its been a while since I last posted an article and I feel really bad! I admit I got a little bit lazy to think about content and I hope I could make it up with this! I also frequently check my website traffic in Google Analytics and I was surprised to see that people are visiting my blog even though I don’t produce content enough. I can’t thank you enough for your support!

Every year, our tropa go on an outing together. We usually opt for a local resort here in Dasmarinas but this year, we wanted to plan for something out of town.

A few years ago when we were part of the Columbian Squires, we went to Bernabeach Resort in Nasugbu, Batangas. I remember we spent a night there sleeping in our camping tents. It was a great experience and so when we were planning for a beach outing, Bernabeach was the first in our list.

Departure Day

We planned a 3 days 2 nights stay and we left Dasmarinas Saturday morning. We ate breakfast and then we headed our way.

Let me introduce the gang!

That’s me and Lester at the front, Aaron, Hughie, and Lance in the middle seats, and Lucky and Jayrard at the back.

They are my closest friends and even though we don’t see each other often since we graduated high school, our reunions are really fun.

Travelling to Nasugbu

If you’re coming from Manila, Nasugbu would be around to 3 to 4 hours drive. You could take Cavitex to Aguinaldo highway all the way up to Tagaytay and then take Tagaytay-Nasugbu road. You’ll be facing a lot of traffic along Aguinaldo highway but the rest would be a smooth drive.

From Dasmarinas, Nasugbu is just a 1 and a half hour to 2 hours drive depending on the traffic. The route we took was Silang, Tagaytay, then Tagaytay-Nasugbu road.

Preparing for the Party

Before we checked-in at Bernabeach, we headed out first to a nearby grocery which is Waltermart Nasugbu and bought chips and booze.

Waltermart Nasugbu is just around 10 minutes away from Bernabeach so its really convenient. There are no near convenience stores walking distance from the resort so if you’re spending a day or two here like us, it would be best to get everything you need from Waltermart Nasugbu.

Arrival at Bernabeach

It was a bit nostalgic when we arrived since the last time we came here was about 5 years ago.

Upon entering, you will see Bernabeach’s restaurant at the left and at the right side would be the hotel rooms and the lobby.

I really apologize for this part for not taking photos. I frequently take photos on trips and I know I should improve on this since I made a promise grow my blog and I will!

The check-in process was easy. I had a reservation for us for a Kubo room for 6 people. The staff was accommodating even though there were a lot of people since its peak season.

Our Room

We rented out a Kubo room and its far from a comfortable hotel room. It’s a small Kubo with a double deck bed for 6 people (we’re 7 in the group and we made it fit!). It’s not air-conditioned and only comes with 1 fan and we had to ask for another one since its too hot in the afternoon.

Its actually pretty cheap and we’re actually just looking for a budget room so we don’t mind the room. It’s easy to sleep if you’re drunk!

Their other rooms are really nice and inexpensive. Here’s a link to Bernabeach Resort price list.

The Pool and the Beach

Bernabeach resort has two pools and both are 5ft deep, great for kids and adults. One is in the main area upon entering the resort and the other one is near the VIP suites.

The pool wasn’t crowded when we stayed there so we really got the most out of it.

For the beach, it wasn’t as clean as we remembered. People can still enjoy it, but we found lots of plastics floating around. It’s actually disappointing but we noticed Nasugbu is now charging “eco fees” so I hope they won’t let the beach get any dirtier.

Time to Chill

The place was pretty quiet at night. There were some like us who were chilling and drinking outside but it was pretty peaceful.

In our first night we had hard drinks and in our second night, we had beer.

We had lots of fun playing beer pong and just sitting down and chatting. As I mentioned, our tropa doesn’t see each other very often but when we do, it’s crazy and fun.

Final Thoughts

Our outing was really fun and our stay at Bernabeach was pleasant. We could get a better room next time but I hope they do clean up the beach. There are lots of resorts there but its not overcrowded. The beach is nice and it would be disappointing if it ends up polluted.

I had lots of fun with these guys and I hope we could have another outing really soon!
